Adult Basic Education (ABE) Language Arts classes are for individuals who need to strengthen their reading and writing skills before enrolling in Adult Secondary Education (ASE) classes in preparation for the GED Language Arts exam. Students will concentrate on the organization of sentences within paragraphs, practice reading comprehension utilizing fiction and nonfiction texts, study grammar usage, mechanics, and language skills in accordance with Standard English conventions, and will develop writing techniques to successfully complete the essay portion of the GED Language Arts exam.
