This course will emphasize that proper training and utilization of available resources for learning to read smoke will help to reduce the number of firefighter deaths /injuries in Pennsylvania. Everyone, officers and firefighters, need to develop their ability to read smoke conditions in order to make safe and effective decisions on the fire ground. In this class students will be introduced to the techniques and ??art?? of reading smoke and then view 14 videos of actual fires and discuss these situations to be able to better understand how to read smoke.
