This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to assist with patient removal from vertical situations. Topics include top belay systems, load sharing and load distributing anchor systems, ascending systems, compound mechanical advantage systems and vertical rescue situations involving individuals trapped in an elevated position or hanging in fall protection. Prerequisites: Rope/High Angle Rescue II Minimum Age of student on the first day of class: 16
