This course is designed to challenge participants by exposing them to the advanced information and techniques needed for handling today's hazardous materials. Topics include chemistry and recognizing factors of hazardous materials, use of the latest detection and monitoring equipment, new advancements in proper personal equipment, specific and practical decontamination procedures, product safety and containment procedures and the tasks of establishing an effective while safe incident management system focusing on risk assessment. Prerequisites: Hazardous Materials Operations, Respiratory Protection Practices I (non fire service personnel). Minimum Age on First Day of Class: 18
