The objective of the Academy is to provide an insight into the daily roles, responsibilities and challenges faced by our first responders including law enforcement, Fire and EMS through lectures, and hands-on interactive activities The hope is to enhance positive relationships, , build trust and engage the community closely with the daily workings of our workforce. Some of the activities to include are CPR and First Aid, Pet First Aid, Fire Extinguisher Usage, Basic Fire Prevention, Evacuation, Household Safety, K9 demo, situational awareness etc. The Citizens Public Safety Academy meets once a week for 8 weeks with 4 hours per session. Detailed schedule will be provided on the first day of class.
