Builds on the foundation of lifesaving basic life support (BLS) skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. This advanced course Advanced Cardiac Life Support highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communications, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). Students are first taught the course content online using Heartcode ACLS. Access is granted to the required online portion with purchase of Heartcode ACLS at www.onlineaha.org. Students must bring certificate of successful completion of the online portion to the classroom session.
