An introduction to land surveying methods and field procedures. The course focuses on the operation and care of surveying instruments, the collection of field data, and the preparation of base plans. Surveying types studied include topographic, construction, boundary surveys, control traverses and benchmark level loops. A course fee is required. Corequisite: MATH 161 or higher.
