Are you creative and tech-driven? Do you think you have a unique ability to run your own business in a tech field? This course is designed for the individual(s) who want to create a business or want to know more about the process of how to become a business in information technology. During this introductory course, you will learn the key differences between the different types of corporations, i.e. S-Corp, C-Corp, as well as the standard LLC (or) Limited Liability Company. Additional information will be shared to help you understand non-profit organizations and how all the different entities are taxed. Instruction will focus on the legal aspects as well as cover some of the expected startup costs to become a registered business within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Students will leave this course knowing what resources are available as well as understand the forms and processes needed to complete the enrollment and registration of the business using attorneys and tax accountants. The instructor for this course is an industry expert that will present the course in a remote or blended format. Typical course presentation includes learning activities and discussion to maximize adult learning and retention.
