Description:
This course is designed to provide an intermediate level understanding in the basic concepts of GIS methods and modeling, with a focus on the application of GIS modeling. Major topics include spatial data modeling, suitability index modeling, basic testing and validating GIS methods, and integration of GIS with models in environment, business, public health and crime analysis. The technical focus of the course includes computer labs and group projects using the leading desktop GIS software up-to-date models.
