Description:
This course introduces students to GTAW welding of special alloy pipe found in industries including but not limited to; energy, petro-chemical, automotive, pressure vessels, etc. Students will study theory and metallurgy of joining special alloys, and learn how to overcome difficulties with weld discontinuities, hot & cold cracking, stress corrosion cracking, etc. Hands on demonstrations and practice welding special alloy plate in all positions using GTAW.
