Description:
This course provides an introduction to a variety of topics in mathematics. This course is for students interested in the math major or teaching math and will expose the student to the beauty, breadth, and relevance of mathematics. Each instructor will choose the topics used to illustrate the power of mathematics. Potential topics include: Combinatorics, Descriptive Statistics, Financial Math, Game Theory, Graph Theory, Knot Theory, Infinity, Number Theory, Sports Math. This course will include a service-learning project.
