Description:
This course will explore the beauty and power of the natural voice for singing and speaking and help the student expand their resonance, projection, breathing, expressiveness and vocal range. Proper phonation and articulation will be covered as well as the improvement in pitch, timbre, vocal quality, vocal health, and performance anxiety. Study of the International Phonetic Alphabet to correct and eliminate individual articulation problems will be introduced. Finding Your Voice is for everyone. No previous singing experience is required, but students will be expected to participate in all vocal exercises. These exercises will be utilized as a bridge between the speaking and singing voice.
