Description:
This is a two-part class. Part one provides Adult First Aid/CPR/AED certification that is valid for two years. The course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid scenarios. Additional certifications earned in this course are scaffold users and fall protection. This second part of this class is a study of the social, political, economic, cultural, and intellectual history of the ironworkers' role in the labor movement. Emphasis is put on the Iron Workers Local #3 collective bargaining agreement.
