This course provides advanced study in digital animation for students. Students will develop a project and execute it to acceptable professional standards. Students will be introduced to advanced production techniques, project organization, and linear versus non-linear narrative. Students will develop proficiency using a variety of animation techniques and programs. The use of storyboards, animatics, special effects, audio components, and a variety of post-processing approaches will be necessary. Each time a student repeats the class they will be expected to further develop their technical expertise and a professional cohesive body of artwork. A minimum of 3 hours of work outside of class is required per week.
