This is the third of four courses that introduces students to the fundamentals of the various systems used in the process industry and the interrelation between the types of equipment that are assembled to operate within a process system. Course topics include distillation systems, combustion systems, extraction systems, adsorption systems, absorption and stripping systems, and reactor systems. Students will gain knowledge utilizing small line drawings and P & ID's for each system. Safety, troubleshooting, production scheduling, and quality/efficiency considerations and strategies will be addressed throughout this course. 1-1-1
