This is the second of four courses that introduces students to the fundamentals of the various systems used in the process industry and the interrelation between the types of equipment that are assembled to operate within a process system. Course topics include natural gas and fuel gas systems, steam generation and boiler feedwater systems, steam distribution and condensate systems, electrical power generation and distribution systems, relief and flare systems, and refrigeration systems. Students will gain knowledge utilizing small line drawings and P & ID's for each system. Safety, troubleshooting, production scheduing, and quality/efficiency considerations and strategies will be addressed throughout this course. 1-1-1
