This course examines the structure, reactivity and chemical properties of organic molecules. Specific topics of study include nomenclature, of functional groups, conformational analysis of acyclic and cyclic molecules, stereochemistry, as well as mechanistic and chemical reactions for various classes of organic molecules (alkanes, alkenes, alkynes). This course is intended for students who are majoring in science or health-related disciplines and are intending to transfer to a 4 year institution. 4-4-4
