Expands beyond basic principles of remote sensing to understand and apply complex methods of data collection, normalization, and analysis. May cover radiometric normalization, spectral transformations, change detection, object oriented classification, spatial analysis and filtering, accuracy assessment, and application of learned techniques. A research intensive experience with a project and paper demonstrating acquired knowledge and application of techniques to a variety of physical and human processes.
