This course consists of 200 hours of supervised field experience with a hospital Biomedical of Clinical Engineering Department or hospital-based Independent Service Organization. Students will be expected to demonstrate competency in the inspection and repair of medical equipment, proficiency in the use of medical device inventory software, and the ability to communicate professionally with clinical staff. Internship sites may have specific requirements for participation, such as vaccinations, background checks, drug screening, and so on. Students who do not meet these requirements may not be able to participate in an internship.
