This course is an introduction to digital manufacturing which includes additive, subtractive and formative manufacturing processes as well as rapid prototyping, digital scanning and reverse engineering technology. The digital manufacturing principle will be explained as well as the theory behind each type of digital manufacturing process. The various software, hardware, and equipment utilized in digital manufacturing with be explained as well as hands-on experience with various 3D printers, 3D scanners, 3D digitizers, CNC milling machines, CNC routers and laser cutters/engravers.
