This course will introduce students to Islamic art and architecture from the birth of Islam onward. Students will explore the vast civilizations that covered areas from the Atlantic into the middle East, Africa and India. From the art of the book to the art of creating a beautiful environment, this course will explore regional variations and the effects of political and social changes. Prerequisite: None
