Description:
Basic mathematics and intro to elementary algebra provides basic principles, concepts and techniques that are necessary for student's success in higher level mathematics courses. Content material includes integers, operations with rational expressions, positive and negative exponents, solutions of first and second degree equations, and word problems. This course is designed for students with little or no algebra background. Developmental courses may not be used to fulfill graduation requirements. This course is taught in a self-paced environment. Motivated students may be able to complete the requirements for MTH 052A and MTH 100A in a single semester.
