This course covers the principles and application of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) as found in a typical manufacturing environment. The foundational knowledge of MET 140A is applied to topics such as basic multi-drop networking, operator display station application, use of remote inputs and outputs, and more advanced component snd systems troubleshooting. All course material is supplemented with practical hands-on exposure to the items described. The Rockwell Allen Bradley SLC500,DH-485, RSLinx, PanelView 1000, and Panelbulder 32 products are used in the teaching of this material.
