This workshop will present research on the development of self concept in adolescent girls. Attention will be given to the factors contributing to the socialization of girls both in society and in school settings. Participants will learn strategies which empower girls, facilitate their development of voice and encourage their interests in the study of nature. Recommended for 7-12 educators, nurses and counselors.
