A workshop designed to provide teachers and administrators with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop, initiate, and sustain a program of personal fitness and wellness. Students will be introduced to current trends in fitness and wellness and be given the opportunity to complete selected fitness assessments. Special emphasis will be placed on strategies for integrating wellness content into a variety of disciplines, and participants will develop sample wellness activities for their students and co-workers. This workshop does not require rigorous physical activity, nor is it intended for physical education teachers. Recommended for educators at all grade levels, school nurses, and school counselors.
