Provides students with the foundation for health coaching through the exploration of the theoretical concepts, core competencies, and skills that are used to evoke behavior change and lifestyle modifications in individuals. Students are able to demonstrate the coaching approach through active listening, effective communication and questioning, motivational interviewing, visioning and goal setting. This course is enrollment restricted to students in the Wellness and Health Promotion AAS program. Prerequisite: WHP 101, 102, and 103 with grades of C or higher. Corequisite: WHP 201.
