In this course, students synthesize computer-aided design (CAD) and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system principles. The focus is on applying mechanical drawing and mathematical skills to create HVAC design drawings that align with the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association (SMACNA) and American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) design manuals. Mastery of CAD software and problem-solving within HVAC system design contexts is emphasized.
