Emphasis on the use of ethical theories, principles, and frameworks to strengthen moral reasoning and improve the provision of socially responsible, person-centered healthcare to diverse populations. Models of ethical decision-making are explored and applied. Role of the ANA Code of Ethics within the profession is examined. Encourages a greater awareness of cultural differences and health disparities and the importance of social justice and mutual respect in care delivery.
