An investigation of the comparative structure and function of the vertebrate body with emphasis on the diverse solutions to the problem of design for survival and the evolutionary mechanisms that provide those solutions. Meets twice per week for two and one-half hours. Each meeting will include both lecture and laboratory experiences. Prerequisite: BIOL 220
