Within the education community, there is talk of "The New3 R's" for the 21st century: Relevant curriculum, Rigorous curriculum, and meaningful Relationships. In this course, you will learn how to design curriculum: curriculum that is relevant and rigourous; curriculum that is rooted in a commitment to building meaningful relationships between you and your students, among your students, and between your students and the world. You will work with state standards when designing curriculum and assessment. You will also learn how to design assessments that will enhance student performance, as well as measure it. Prerequisite: None.
