This course will instruct students to master concepts relating to: normal and abnormal fetal growth and development, fetal gas exchange and circulation, the process of neonatal delivery, and common neonatal and pediatric pulmonary disease processes. Also discussed are the anatomical and physiological changes that occur with fetal and neonatal transition. Students will develop a comprehensive strategy in the diagnosis, interpretation, monitoring and treatment of breathing disorders identified in the neonatal and pediatric patient
