Biochemistry I introduces students to the concepts of modern biochemistry. It focuses primarily on the structure and function of proteins and nucleic acids. Emphasis is placed on enzyme mechanics, kinetics and regulation and concludes with a study of gene expression. The course is designed for students interested in pursing furher study in a science, medical or pharmacology field.
