Examines the unique qualities of communication in picture books. Book design, illustration, verbal-visual integration, renowned illustrators and childrens responses to picture books receive in-depth attention. Exploration of picture books for all ages will occur. Before enrolling, students must have completed a survey course in childrens literature. Offered periodically.
