Description:
This course will introduce students to the principles and applications of integrated marketing communication (IMC), a growing subdivision of traditional public relations that incorporates marketing and advertising. Students will learn the elements of IMC, the benefits of this approach, and how to incorporate IMC principles into modern professional PR practice. Through analyses of existing IMC campaigns as well as the execution of individual and group IMC projects, students will recognize the benefits of IMC, develop IMC deliverables, and gain an appreciation of IMC theory. Prerequisites: SPE 170, or Business Majors, or Advertising Minors, or permission of the instructor.
