This course will introduce the emerging pedagogy of online learning to K-12 interested professionals. Students will explore the requirements needed for successful online learning and teaching. After focusing on the unique characteristics of the online learner, students will explore how to create engaging online learning environments. While there will be significant focus on class design, there will also be references to the developing research about current best practices. Finally, the ethical issues associated with online learning will be considered.
