This course builds on the Criminal Justice Process course by focusing on management issues peculiar to Court Administration. An overview of court administration and court management in the United States, this course will focus on the institutions and actors that make up the system. Special consideration will be given to how courts conduct business, how they interface with the Law Enforcement system, and established best practices in administration. The instructor will survey basic management styles and how they apply to court administration, as well as those that are unique to court administration. Special emphasis will be given to issues of ethics and due process. Pre-Requisite: The Criminal Justice Process
