Description:
The focus of this course is on fulfilling the needs of potential customers as a driving force of entrepreneurship. Students in this course examine the role of marketing in startup ventures and the role of entrepreneurial thinking in marketing efforts. Students will explore traditional and novel approaches to defining markets and market segments, will discover inexpensive ways to conduct relevant market research, and will learn to identify ways to leverage marketing tasks. The course will also include e-marketing techniques and the use of social networking as they apply to marketing products and services. The course will conclude with the students submitting a working marketing plan.
