This course will focus on the very rudiments of the nursing profession. The student will be introduced to the history, philosophy, processes and the multiple roles involved in nursing practice. The student will be asked to provide assignments that are introspective and start the foundation on which to assess personal values and understand professional responsibilities in nursing. Discussions will involve current issues realted to healthcare: socioeconomics, environments, politics, and known risk behaviors/modifications (QSEN) in theory before clinical practice
