This senior-level capstone course builds and expands upon work completed to date in the B.S.N. program and is designed to prepare students for leadership roles. Concepts of leadership and management will be described and ultimately applied to seminar topics and clinical experiences. Emphasis is also placed on the interdependence between the nursing profession and various levels of issues as they pertain to real-life world events. Seminar topics include fiscal management, case management and public-policy issues, among others. Clinical experiences will allow the student to practice with a nurse leader in the community.
