This course continues building upon the concepts of harmonic practice and voice-leading from Music Theory and Analysis III; expanding to chromatic chordal evolution and advanced harmonic analysis. Through harmonic analysis, form analysis, and composition, students will apply these methods to representative works from several historical stylistic periods, emphasizing the historical evolution of forms from the Renaissance through the late Romantic and into the present day.
