This course introuces students to communication theories and includes verbal and non-verbal techniques, active listening and conflict resolution as related to empathetic communication skills in areas of substance abuse, death and dying, lifespan dilemmas and culture. Students will apply their interpersonal communication skills and demonstrate professionalism in the use of case studies, role playing, and oral presentation.
