Description:
This course is designed to provide the student who possesses good swimming skills with the knowledge and skills necessary to keep the patrons of aquatic facilities safe in and around the water. The course content and activities prepare students to recognize emergencies, respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, and prevent drownings and other incidents. On successful completion of the course, participants receive two certificates: one for American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and a second for American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Students must be prepared to demonstrate swimming proficiency during the first class meeting.
