This course engages students in case studies, reading, research and discussion about leadership, especially in community nonprofit organizations. The course focuses on the articulation of an organization's purpose; on the recruitment, organizing, and encouragement of members; on teamwork, effective fund-rasing and the successful conducting of projects; and on communicating an organization's mission and activities to the public. LEAD 211, LEAD 212, and LEAD 213 together are equivalent to LEAD 214.
