Description:
Students will have the opportunity to earn academic credit for 20 hours during the semester of volunteer work in a recognized community organization and for reading, writing and reflecting upon the social meaning and value of their expereince. Students will learn about the history of voluntary organizations and will develop the communication skills necessary to function effectively in their communities. Such communication skills will include learning how to write a grant proposal to fund a community-based project. Satisfies American Diversity requirement.
