An introductory course that provides a general understanding of the educational importance of the visual and performing arts and how the humanities are inter-connected through the inclusion of history , criticism and aesthetics. In addition , knowledge of health , safety and physical education enables students to understand the importance of the relationship between the visual arts, physical movement , and the importance of developing and maintaining a physically , mentally , socially and emotionally healthy life style of growing children.
