This course is an overview of the history of the United States from the end of reconstruction through the 20th Century. This course studies significant eras in American history such as Industrialization, Populism, the Progressive Era, WWI and New Imperialism, the Great Depression and the New Deal, WW II, the Cold War, the Modern Civil Right Movement, the 'sixties,' and the Conservative Resurgence and rise of the New Right at the end of the 20th Century.
