Description:
This internship is designed for the student who is interested in working with young children and their families in a non-public school setting. It is designed to provide the student with the opportunity to develop further competencies and understandings of one or more aspects of early childhood education. Placement is arranged on an individual basis. It is expected that the Intern will contribute to the welfare of the organization by engaging in experiences that are "value added" and it is expected that the placement site will contribute to the professional development of the intern by providing experiences that are standards-based, substantial, relevant, and developmental and will facilitate the contribution of the intern to the professional community.
