This course is designed for students majoring in the sciences and considering careers in the pre-professional sciences, biomedical, and academic areas. This course serves as a primary step in understanding the interaction between the nutrients and health. This course is not designed to be an introduction to dietetics, but focuses more on the biological roles of nutrients. The course will place special emphasis on the application of nutrition principles in everyday life by exploring the health consequences of nutrition practices. Offered: Spring Term.
