(Information-Literacy Intensive Course) This course presents the basic concepts of geographic data management using geographic information systems. It introduces spatial data handling procedures, provides an overview of the uses of GIS and the major GIS application areas. A 1-credit laboratory to be taken concurrently accompanies this course.
