Description:
This is an advanced course in metal inert gas (MIG) flux cored arc welding (FCAW) procedures to prepare students for industry certification. Students learn to perform FCAW welding techniques such as single V-groove welded butt joints with backing strips in the flat, horizontal and vertical positions. All students follow the American Welding Society (AWS) code specifications while performing these skills. This course requires additional fees for testing materials and AWS certification.
